From 2006–2014, I served as an executive of NYC & Company, the City of New York’s integrated marketing and tourism organization, reinvented during the Bloomberg administration. As Chief Creative Officer, I led the design vision and strategy that transformed New York City’s tourism efforts at local to global scales. Our teams collaborated with the Mayor’s Office and City Agencies on major civic initiatives, brand platforms, and innovative omnichannel product experiences. We grew markets and audiences through global destination marketing campaigns, produced perception-changing big events, activated public-private partnerships, and increased cross-industry engagement. During my eight-year tenure, NYC surpassed economic impact and visitation growth targets ahead of schedule, becoming the #1 U.S. tourist destination for the first time in 20 years.
